The Inn at Lovers Lane, a recently
renovated Greek Revival built around 1835, provides bed and
breakfast lodging in the heart of the beautiful Champlain
Valley of Vermont
Bridport, a small farming community, is
just eight miles east of New York State and Lake Champlain and
only nine miles west of Middlebury, home to prestigious
Middlebury College.
Whether you are enjoying complimentary
afternoon refreshments in summer out on the deck or a cup of
hot chocolate in front of the fireplace in one of the common
rooms, The Inn at Lovers Lane is sure to impress you with its
simple elegance. In the evening, view the fiery sunsets over
the Adirondack Mountains.
The spacious yet intimate Inn at Lovers
Lane houses two guest rooms and one suite. Each individually
decorated accommodation has a private bath, climate control,
ceiling fan, and air conditioning.
A full country breakfast is served daily in
the sunroom. You may enjoy a signature entree such as Vermont
cheddar cheese omelets with English muffins, or perhaps
pancakes or Belgian waffles served with strawberries and warm
Vermont maple syrup might be the order of the day.
Complementing the meal are juice, coffee, cold cereal, fresh
fruit, a homemade fresh pastry such as blueberry almond
coffeecake, and locally cured bacon or sausage. Your hosts
will attempt to accommodate low-fat and vegetarian diets with
prior notice.
Hosts John and Pam Freilich invite you to
come be their guests and let The Inn at Lovers Lane serve as
your base for exploring Vermont's beautiful Champlain Valley.

Vermont's Lake Champlain Valley offers
something special throughout the year. Biking, hiking,
horseback riding, and golf are popular activities in this
area, as are water activities at Lake Champlain and Lake
Dunmore. When the weather cools, the fall foliage attracts
people from all over the country, and the snow geese begin
their southward migration. As the snow falls, the Middlebury
College Snow Bowl and the Breadloaf Mountain Ski Touring
Center are great for skiing.
The Area historical attractions include
Fort Ticonderoga, Crown Point, the Rokeby, and the Shelburne,
Sheldon, and Maritime museums. Burlington, Rutland, Stowe, and
the Olympic village of Lake Placid are all between a one- and
two-hour drive away. Other places to see and explore include
the UVM Morgan Horse Farm, Shelburne Farms, the Dead Creek
Waterfowl Refuge, Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory, and the
Teddy Bear Factory. |
