Vacation Rentals have all the comforts of home

• Property Type: Vacation Rentals are residential homes, beach houses, condos and coastal villas on Isle of Palms, Sullivan's Island or Dewees Island
• Accommodations: 1 to 10 bedroom rentals. Many have private swimming pools or deep water docks.

• Rates: Some properties have higher rental rates during holiday weeks. Taxes and fees are not included in quoted rates. 11-1/2% state sales tax, state and local accommodations taxes and fees, plus an 8% reservation fee are added to all rentals. Rates are subject to change without notice.

• Minimum Stay: All properties are either Saturday to Saturday (mostly Isle of Palms & Sullivan’s Island properties) or Sunday to Sunday (mostly Wild Dunes properties) check-in day. From 6/2/07 to 9/1/07 properties are weekly only. All other times, there is a 3 night minimum (some properties have higher minimums) Properties are a week minimum during New Year’s Day, Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas holidays until 30 days prior to arrival.
• Check-out: 10:00 a.m. If your rental property has keys or lock cards instead of a lock code, please return your keys or lock cards to our office. Check-in: between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Your rental unit will be available some time during these hours. If you will be arriving after office hours, please call our office before we close to receive your late arrival instructions.
• Deposit and Payments: Reservations made before the beginning of a calendar year on a property that does not yet have set rates, require a 50% deposit based on the prior year's rates and are subject to price adjustments, owner's right to occupy, and adjustments in amenities. Guests will be notified of final rates and availability as soon as possible. Guests may elect to accept new rates and terms, and pay the balance due for a 50% deposit or cancel the reservation without penalty. Failure to agree to the new terms within 15 days of notification or failure to send the remaining balance due on the 50% deposit will result in cancellation of this agreement and guest will receive a full refund. If the rates have been set for the following year, then normal deposit and cancellation policies apply.
• Cancellation Policy: Guest cancellations must be in writing. If you cancel your reservation, your entire reservation deposit will be held until the property has been re-booked and confirmed for the same use period for the same rate. There are no exceptions. If the property is re-booked for only part of the use period or for less rent for the reserved days, the deposit will be refunded minus any uncollected rent for the use period. All guest cancellations are subject to a cancellation-processing fee of 10% of the rental rate ($100.00 Minimum). A property that is unacceptable to the guest is deemed a cancellation by the guest. Island Realty may cancel this reservation if, in its sole opinion, it is in the best interest of the owner. Travel Insurance is recommended.
• Restrictions: No pets allowed unless the property description specifically approves pets.
• Special Events: Vacation packages and specials.
• Recreation and Activities: Wide beaches, exceptional surf fishing, sailing, windsurfing, and shelling. Golf, biking, walking tours.
• Surrounding Attractions and Special Events: Historic Charleston tours, restaurants and shopping, Fort Sumter tours, Battleship and Aircraft Carrier tours. The initial shots of the Civil War were fired on Union troops stationed at Fort Sumter in Charleston Harbor. And the first American golf course, Harleston Green is here. "The Battery," Waterfront Park, the Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon, the Gibbes Museum, the Charleston Museum and its Museum Houses, the Aiken-Rhett House, the Edmondston-Alston House, and the Nathaniel Russell House.
