Tiramisu

Ingredients

1 package ladyfinger cookies

1-1/2 cups black espresso coffee

1/4 cup rum or brandy

2/3 cup sugar

1 pound Mascarpone cheese

3 egg whites

3 ounces grated chocolate or cocoa

In a bowl, combine and blend cheese and sugar. Separate eggs and blend whites until fluffy Blend egg white mixture into cheese mixture. In a separate bowl, add rum to espresso coffee and mix well. In a 9 x 9-inch glass casserole dish, place layer of ladyfingers dipped in espresso coffee, then spread a layer of cheese mixture. Do the same 2 more times, ending with cheese mixture. Sprinkle top with grated chocolate and refrigerate 2 hours before serving.
