The Bucking S is a working cattle and guest ranch located in
the heart of 'The Cowboy State" along the Seminoe-Alcova
Scenic Backway surrounded by the foothills of the Seminoe and
Shirley Mountains.
The main ranch house is a beautiful log home open to guests
for family style dining, entertaining and relaxation. The
ranch's atmosphere is casual and friendly. Comfortable and
cozy log cabins, as well as rooms in the main lodge provide
inviting accommodations. All rooms have private bath and are
individually furnished with western décor, a stove and
sitting area. Choose from either a king size bed, two twin
beds or two full size bunk beds. For larger groups or
families, two bedroom, one bathroom cabins are available, with
their own kitchen and spacious living room. A soothing hot tub
offers relaxation after a long day in the saddle or exploring
the scenic country side.
During your stay, enjoy a wholesome home cooked ranch style
meals served family or buffet style. The menus are deliciously
varied and fresh, including homemade breads and desserts. The
coffee and tea pot are always on, the cookie jar full and
fresh fruits, lemonade and ice tea are available at all times.
Whether you plan on coming alone, bringing your family or
group of friends, planning a reunion or corporate retreat, you

The Bucking S is an authentic working cattle ranch where
together with a neighboring place they take care of about
1,000 head of cattle on a total of 40,000 acres. The whole
season from mid-May to mid-October we rotate the cattle
approximately . every two weeks to a new pasture as grazing
conditions and water dictates.
During our scenic rides you will enjoy the wide open spaces
and solitude, breathing the clean air, feeling the warm sun
while discovering a peaceful and unhurried countryside.
Days on an operating cattle ranch are always filled with
work as well as excitement and your hosts truly enjoy every
