you're welcome to put your feet up, relax beside the fire with

from one of the scenic decks. Meals are served at individual
tables or on the decks overlooking the lake. Dinner is offered
at an additional cost and is served Tuesday through Sunday.
Enjoy soup, salad, a delicious entree, and dessert at the Inn,
made with the freshest of ingredients. After dinner, you may
choose to enjoy the stars with the Inn telescope or soak in
the outdoor hot tub.
Flea markets and
antique and craft shops are located in the nearby towns, and
local fairs and festivals take place throughout the spring,
summer, and fall. Your hosts will be happy to advise you and
give you directions to places of interest. |
Located between the
George Washington and Monongahela National Forests, within
thousands of acres of natural forest, Wildernest Inn is a
secluded country inn hideaway. You can watch the hawks soaring
in the sky, the deer at the pond, the periodic parades of wild
turkey, and now and again a visit by curious black bears. Some
challenging and interesting trails are available on the
property for those who feel energetic. At the bottom of the
property, you'll find an almost mile-long South Mill Creek
Lake where guests can make use of the Wildernest canoe. A
two-mile nature trail around the lake lets guests hike, jog,
or fish for trout and bass.
There are many
natural attractions nearby, such as Dolly Soda Wilderness
Area, the Smoke Hole and Big Bend Recreation areas, Seneca
Rocks for rock climbing, hiking, and horseback riding, and
Spruce Knob golf course. Canoe and kayak rentals are available
nearby for river trips. |
