This very private setting is the perfect location for romance, an anniversary or honeymoon, or just a quiet getaway surrounded by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Experience enchanting views of Victoria, British Columbia; the magnificent orca whales; gorgeous sunsets; bald eagles; and so much more!

With two spacious guest suites to choose from, you know you will be receiving the individual privacy and pampering you deserve. Each suite boasts such fine amenities as a private bath, jet tub for two, steam cabinet shower, small refrigerator, king-sized bed with down comforter, sitting area with woodburning fireplace, and a window seat with table and chairs. You will also enjoy a CD player/clock radio, private telephone line, satellite television and VCR, video and CD library, use of the outdoor hydrotherapy hot tub, and an expansive deck with incredible views.

A gourmet breakfast is served each morning. You can choose to dine in your private suite, in the dining room, or on the covered verandah overlooking the sea. Afternoon tea and fresh baked cookies greet you on arrival or when you return from an exciting day of exploring the island.

San Juan Island is not just a place along the way, it's a destination! The island is home to three resident pods of orca whales that can be easily seen and heard from the decks of Highland Inn.

Bald eagles, owls, and a myriad of other birds find nests along the coastline. Whale Watch Park and the Lime Kiln Lighthouse are just a mile up the coast with many hiking trails and picnic spots along the way. For the adventurous, there is diving and kayaking available. Golf, tennis, shopping, historical sites, and museums are also nearby. Some guest take day trips to Victoria, Canada.
