Originally a barn for a turnip farm in the 1870's, The
Mountain Top Inn and Resort has enjoyed a marvelous evolution.
The lodging tradition was created in the 1940's, and in 1955,
the Resort was proud to play host to President Eisenhower and
his entourage during a fishing expedition. Throughout the
years, improvements to the original building were made while
maintaining the integrity of its Yankee origin -- the beauty
and ecology of its natural surroundings. |
