• Directions: From Burlington International Airport: (about 45 minutes to 1 hour) When leaving Burlington International Airport, turn left (onto Airport Road). At the traffic light, proceed forward. Continue along this road onto Route 189, which will end at the intersection with Route 7. Take a left onto Route 7 South. Middlebury is approximately 40 miles. The Swift House Inn is located on Stewart Lane, at the traffic light, just past the large white picket fence, on the left. Turn left onto Stewart Lane and continue to our Main House, on your left, to check in.
  From Boston, MA: (about 4 hours) Take Interstate 93 North to Concord NH. Take Interstate 89 into Vermont to Bethel (3 exits after crossing the Vermont line). Turn right onto Route 107 South and West. Once in Bethel, you will have to make a left turn to remain on Route 107. Go about 10 miles to Route 100 North (bear right onto Route 100). Go about 12 miles and exit left onto Route 125 West at Hancock, VT. Go over the mountain to Route 7 (about 15 miles). Turn right onto Route 7 North and go through the center of Middlebury. The Swift House Inn is 2 blocks north of the center of town, on the right at the corner of Stewart Lane and Route 7 North. At the light, turn right onto Stewart Lane and continue to our Main House, on your left, to check in.
  From New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania: (about 2-1/2 hours from Albany to Middlebury) From the New York Thruway (Route 90), take the exit for the Northway (Route 87) at Albany. Continue on Route 87 until Exit 20 (Fort Ann-Whitehall, NY- Route 149). Turn left at the light onto 9W North, go 3 blocks, then turn right onto Route 149 East. Continue East on 149 to Fort Ann, where 149 becomes Route 4. Take a left at the light to continue on Route 4 North and East. At Whitehall, bear right, following the signs to Route 4. Continue on Route 4 to Route 30 North (the Middlebury exit). Turn left on Route 30 North. Route 30 ends at Route 7 in the middle of Middlebury. Turn left onto Route 7. The Swift House Inn is 2 blocks north of the center of town, on the corner of Stewart Lane and Route 7 North. Take a right onto Stewart Lane at the light and continue to our Main House, on your left, to check in.
