1997 Inn of the Year by The
Complete Guide to Bed & Breakfasts, Inns, and Guesthouses
in the United States and Canada.
When you visit Williamsburg, you'll learn of how they lived
in the 17th and 18th centuries. Here at The Legacy you will
truly step back in time. The burning embers of the six
fireplaces and flickering of candlelight throughout the inn
bring to life those days we long to remember. Elegance...
quaint romance... you could go on and on but most of all
hospitality and warmth are all waiting for you here at The
Legacy.
Set in a natural woodland, this Bed and Breakfast is an
early style American clapboard structure filled with 18th
century antique furnishings, random pine flooring and quaint
rooms. This Bed and Breakfast has been awarded three diamonds
by AAA and three stars by Mobil Travel Guide. Guests can be
certain they will be surrounded with excellent service and
elegant accommodations.
The tavern has three suites and one guest room, each
carefully decorated with beautiful antiques and named after a
home in the colonial time. Complemented with tall poster,
curtained, canopy beds and private baths, and cozy bath robes.
Also at the guests' disposal are hair dryers, an iron and
ironing board. There are six fireplaces through out, several
of which are the focal points of guest rooms from where you
might end your day by the fireplace. Television is available
in all rooms.
Take a stroll in the lovely English Gardens or enjoy the
view from the treetop gazebo. A huge deck with comfortable
lounge chairs beckons you on temperate evenings as you relax
to the chirp of crickets or watch the fire flies dance in the
twilight sky. The Library is a wonderful meeting place to
unwind by the embers of a winter's fire while enjoying one of
the room's many books on American history. For more fun, the
Tavern Room now features a tavern table for games.
A full gourmet candle lit breakfast is served each morning
in the Keeping Room by the fire. |
The Legacy is just 5 blocks from the historic area, and only
a couple of miles from all points of interest such as Busch
Gardens, outlet shopping, and Jamestown & Yorktown.
Richmond airport is easy access to I-64 and 45 minutes away.
For your convenience the Legacy is off-street parking.
A fabulous deck overlooking a wooded area, and a "treetop"
gazebo is perfect for relaxing. What a special place for a
romantic honeymoon or anniversary or for that much needed
quiet time.
Come let your hosts pamper you like you do deserve and wake
to the smells of your fabulous breakfast being prepared
especially for you.
The "Legacy" will be the highlight of your
vacation! |
