Garden Cottage Bed & Breakfast is a one-bedroom private cottage that sits on the beautifully landscaped property of D. and Don Kirkland's home in Central Texas surrounded by the Nolanville Bluffs of Nolan Valley.

The cottage has garden themed decor and offers a comfortable and pleasant retreat for garden buffs, country enthusiasts who love being near lakes and wide open spaces, and "get-away-from-it-all" travelers. Guests are welcomed to stroll through the gardens, rest in the swings, or cozy-up inside and read the gardening magazines or watch DVDs.

The four-poster full-sized bed is comfortable and the bedroom welcoming to the antique buff blending both old world charm and new world amenities. The cottage has a fully equipped small kitchen with small appliances to prepare meals. Breakfast items are stocked in the refrigerator so that you can prepare meals at your leisure from pancakes, to eggs, sausage, and grits.

The main room has a bistro table and two chairs and a "relax - it's a vacation" recliner. The adjoining sitting room has comfortable swivel bounce chairs for enjoying conversation, reading, or watching DVD's. This is a retreat setting without the distraction of phone, Internet, or televisions. A full bath room supplied with towels and complimentary hand-made soap adjoins the sitting room while a small closet and chest of drawers is available to stow your stuff.

The private patio has a table and chairs along with a small charcoal grill for outdoor dining and nature viewing.

The Kirklands, hosts and garden enthusiasts, delight in taking willing guests on guided educational / entertaining tours during their stay. You can see the Texas Wildflower Garden, the Butterfly-shaped Butterfly garden, the Cactus Garden, BNSF Point, the Hide-n-Seek Garden, Cardinal Court, Esperanza Lane, the Bulb Garden and much more.
