which time she earned her PhD in Philosophy. In the mid-1990s
Deborah left a corporate career in strategic planning to work

Arnold, Paul Bridenbaugh, Stanley Goldstein and Randall
Sexton.
I began as a
plein air painter and continue with my great love of this
genre. My strength and natural gift is in my use of color and
I find this talent most satisfying and always evolving. I also
have a lifelong love of nature and have become an astute
observer.
The animals
chosen for my animal portraits are done so for the
individuality of expression. I photograph each animal and then
use the photos to paint in my studio. I am deeply interested
in the value of connection between humans and animals and
explore this theme in these paintings.
