About:
Artist Margaret Dyer
Atlanta
College of Art
Margaret Dyer
has been exhibiting her vibrant, sensual pastels since 1988,
when upon entering her first international exhibition, she won
Best in Show. After finding continued success in the fine
arts, she left behind a 15-year career in graphic design to
pursue what she felt was a less stressful and more meaningful
lifestyle, that of creating works of lasting beauty.
Dyer has
studied at the Atlanta College of Art; with the Russian
Portraitist/Muralist Roman Chatov; Marc Chatov, Portraitist;
and Kate Fetterolf, Pastelist. She also keeps up professional
memberships in The National League of American Pen Women,
Atlanta Chapter (Artist of the Year, 1997); Southeastern
Pastel Society (Member of Excellence); and the Allied Artists
of America.
