Stagecoach House Inn, rated Three Diamonds by AAA, was originally a stopover for stagecoaches passing through the town of Richmond.

Today it is a historic bed and breakfast hotel nestled in the village of Wyoming, Rhode Island. Weary travelers sought refuge at the Victorian-styled 1796 inn for many years until the building became old and in need of repair. Completely renovated in 2001, the bed and breakfast has been enhanced by combining modern conveniences with refurbished original fixtures, making the Stagecoach House the warm and cozy country inn that it is today.

You will be welcomed into a cozy lobby featuring rocking chairs in front of a large fireplace plus a player piano for guests to enjoy. The second-floor hall opens to the downstairs lobby. The historical pictures decorating the walls give you a feel of how the Inn, town, and surrounding area used to look. The front porch overlooks a garden of shrubs and trees that replicate the original landscaping, and the river view from the upper-deck is spectacular. Sit back on one of the Adirondack chairs and listen to the sounds of the waterfall and watch nature at its best.

Lodging accommodations all feature air conditioning, remote-controlled gas fireplaces, high speed wireless Internet, and private baths with Jacuzzi tubs. A queen-size bed covered with a warm quilt awaits you. Each room is unique in decor and varies in size from standard hotel rooms to the spacious Honeymoon Suite with a two-person Jacuzzi tub, double shower, and private deck overlooking the Wood River. A family suite provides two separate connecting rooms, each with its own bath.

In the morning, enjoy a deluxe continental breakfast served daily between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. After a meal of seasonal fruits and home-baked goods, walk down to the river and cast a line for the best trout fishing in the state! You may even see one of the native hawks or osprey swoop down into the river as they do some fishing of their own. Canoe and kayak rentals are available at the local bait store. Catch large trout and salmon right out your back door!

When you return to the Stagecoach House, pamper yourself with a Swedish or sports massage (available by appointment only). Come enjoy luxurious amenities amidst the area's history at this warm and cozy bed and breakfast inn by the river.

With close proximity to I-95, Rhode Island beaches, nine golf courses (6 within 5 miles), and the University of Rhode Island, Stagecoach House is an ideal base from which to explore this part of New England.
