One of the oldest homes in Bird-In-Hand,
the Mill Creek Homestead Bed and Breakfast is an
eighteenth-century field stone farmhouse located in the
Pennsylvania Dutch Country in Lancaster County.
Once home to the owner of a saw mill along
Mill Creek this B&B retains its old world charm throughout
and was renovated to provide all the comforts of the modern
world. Guests enjoy warm Christian hospitality and solitude.
Much of the same life-style can still be experienced today due
to the Amish influence.
This beautiful historic stone home offers
four tastefully decorated accommodations with private baths.
Luxurious queen sized beds provide a restful slumber in three
guest rooms, while one room offers two twin beds OR one king
bed. Unwind in a number of common areas with fireplace, books,
games, puzzles and cable TV. Enjoy rocking on the porch and
listening to the clippity-clop of the horse and buggies going
by. Lounge out by the pool and hot tub or bask on the deck
with refreshments from the guest refrigerator and beverage
station.
The aromas of freshly ground coffee, baked
coffee cakes, Danish, sticky buns, muffins and bagels are just
a sampling of how guests are coaxed from their warm beds each
morning. A complimentary continental breakfast is available
daily in the formal dining room.
Within walking distance of the bed and
breakfast are shops, the Bird-In-Hand farmers' market,
Millcreek Market, and bakeries. Tours are available daily.
Excellent theatres - Sight & Sound Millenium, Living
Waters and American Music Theatre are just 5 minutes away.
Outlet shopping is available at Rockvale and Tanger. |
Antique shopping is plentiful as are
numerous local homemade quilts, crafts, museums, golf courses,
and amusement parks. Visit the town of Hershey and see how
America's favorite chocolate is made in the chocolate factory.
Come experience a slower pace of life in
the Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Relax and marvel at the simple
and gentle traditions that make the area so renowned and yet
isolated from the modern world. The lovely Mill Creek
Homestead retains the old world charm and hospitality of
another era. Your hosts, Bob and Lori, look forward to your
stay. |
