Growing up in Lancaster County means a big garden in your back yard and weekly visits to the local Farmer's Market still open three days a week. One of our summer traditions was to make sweet pickles in old crocks to fill the pantry for winter. Ingredients are listed and directions are given, but don't forget the most important thing in the meal is love from the cook. ... Debbie Hershey (former innkeeper)
