Inn on the Main is
an 1840 Victorian bed and breakfast located in the scenic
Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York in Canandaigua.
Also known as the
Alfred Morris Gifford House, this home has been lovingly
renovated to anticipate the every need of travelers. Situated
in the heart of the Historic District, the Bed and Breakfast
is a short walk to shops, restaurants, historical sites, as
well as breathtaking Canandaigua Lake. In addition to an ideal
setting, Inn on the Main offers fine accommodations and
unmatched hospitality.
The Inn is decorated
in many period furnishings reminiscent of days gone by and
boasts bold, carved fireplaces in the dining room and parlor.
Accommodations include four guest rooms and one suite. All
rooms feature en-suite baths, several with fireplaces and/or
Jacuzzis, and the suites comes with a full kitchen. Each guest
room includes a TV with cable, and a DVD/VCR/CD player, with
movies available for guests to view in the privacy of their
rooms. For those needing the conveniences of home, a telephone
and Internet connection are available. In season, guests may
enjoy lounging on the spacious porch, furnished with quaint,
antique wicker true to the period of the home.
Enjoy a full
breakfast before you start your day; sit in the spacious foyer
featuring a majestic oak split staircase; enjoy tea or coffee
accompanied by freshly-baked pastries in the parlor, foyer or
upstairs sitting area.
