This two-story adobe of classic pueblo architecture was once the residence of flamboyant local artist Wolfgang Pogzeba. He designed the rooms, balconies and gardens to provide impressive views of Taos Mountain and the spectacular New Mexico sunset.

Your day at the Cottonwood Inn starts with a full savory breakfast of juice, coffee or tea, a gourmet entrée, fresh seasonal fruit and side dish of meat or fresh baked pastries. One of our favorites is Taos Strata, a layered creation of bread, pork sausage, mild green chiles, and cheese. We love to server this with blueberry and pinon nut cornmeal muffins and drunken oranges. Another favorite is Blueberry Blintz Shoufflé topped with blueberry sauce and a dollop of Devonshire cream accompanied by crisp bacon and mixed melon in champagne sauce.

The Cottonwood Inn's ideal location, halfway between the town and the world-famous Taos Ski Valley, offers skiers easy access to the slopes. Summertime activities such as whitewater rafting, biking, horseback riding, hiking, and fishing are equally close. You can also snowmobiling, play tennis or golf.
