Frangelico French Toast

A wonderful Valentine's Day breakfast for your special someone.

Ingredients:

2 loaves Italian bread

8 eggs

1/2 cup half & half

1 shot glass full of Frangelico hazelnut liqueur

Nutella (chocolate-hazelnut Nutella spread)

powdered sugar

Maple Syrup

Whisk eggs, half & half, and Frangelico until well blended. Slice bread into 16 slices 1 to 1-1/2 inches thick. Dip both sides of bread in mixture. Brown on both sides on lightly greased hot griddle. Smear top half with a coating of Nutella as thick or thin as you prefer. Sprinkle very lightly with powdered sugar. Decorate with a sliced strawberry for an elegant look! Serve with warm maple syrup for a sweeter version.
