Mountain Biking

The Lakes Region has great terrain for mountain bikers and street cyclists. Gunstock and Waterville Valley both have ski area trail systems that can be used. In towns like Wolfeboro, Ashland, Sandwich, and Danbury, there are varying trail networks, from gravel roads to abandoned rail beds. Big biking events are held regularly in Waterville Valley, Bristol, and at Gunstock.

Road cyclists will enjoy the scenic country roads of the Lakes Regions, especially the routes that circle the shoreline at Newfound and Squaw Lakes. For more information on biking in the Lakes Region, check one of the recommended local sports stores.
