- Accommodations: 4 rooms, each with
vanity, sink, mirror, soaps, and towels; the 4 rooms share 2 full
baths. Rooms are upstairs and not handicap accessible. Rooms do not
have TVs.
- Rates: Single $69.00 per night and
double occupancy is $79.00 per night. Free night with week-long
stays. Rates are subject to change without notice.
- Open: May to mid-October (Columbus Day
Weekend).

- Payment: Full deposit required for 1- to
2-day stays and for regular and holiday weekends. 50% deposit
required for stays of 3 or more days.
- Cancellation Policy: Cancellation
notice must be received at least 10 days prior to scheduled arrival
date. If cancellation notice is received less than 10 days before
scheduled arrival date, refunds will be returned if room is
rebooked. A fee of $10.00 is charged for all cancellations.
- Restrictions: No pets. Sorry, no young
children. No smoking.
- Parking: Private, off-street parking on
premises. One parking space allowed for each room. If you are
bringing more then 1 vehicle, you must notify us in advance. No
large camper-style vehicles allowed.
- Breakfast: Coffee and tea available from
7:00 to 10:00 a.m. Many fine restaurants for breakfast just a short
walk along the beach.
- Languages Spoken: Spanish,
French, and
English.
- Special Guest House Events: Weddings.
Dan is a Justice of the Peace and performs weddings in the garden,
at the beach or at Nubble Lighthouse. He will also provide you with
the laws and requirements for getting married in Maine.
- Recreation & Activities: Biking,
walking, sunsets, and whale watching, deep sea fishing, sailing,
golf and tennis. Almost all recreation activities available.
- Attractions & Special Events: Nubble
Lighthouse, Historic York Village, theaters, galleries, an
old-fashioned trolly service, shops and malls. Kittery, and
Portsmouth, New Hampshire close by to the South, and Ogunquit and
Kennebunkport to the North. Amusement parks. The Homestead is 1 hour
from Boston.
- Recommended Local Restaurants: There are
many featuring fresh seafood and Maine lobster dinners. We keep a
copy of all restaurant menus at the The Homestead. We always advise
guests according to their particular tastes and we will also
recommend our favorite places.
- Recommended Local Best Kept Secrets: Walking
the beaches, catching the sunrise, scanning the horizon at Nubble
Lighthouse, walking the Cliff Walk in York Harbor, and sunsets at
Mt. Agamenticus.
- Directions: Take York Exit off I-95 to
U.S. Rt. 1, South. Drive south 1/2 mile; after passing a Mobil
service station on your left, about 100 yards further, take a left
at traffic intersection. You are now on Rt. 1A (York St.). Drive 5.2
miles. On your left is The Homestead, located between Broadway and
Church Street. It is a tall, "Colonial red" building with
window flowers, hanging plants, and white chairs and table on the
porch. Large parking area is to the right of the the guest house.
