The Percy Inn Bed
and Breakfast is ideally situated in Portland, Maine's West
End Historic District encamped among other rowhouses of the
early 1800s.
Every room in the
Percy Inn enjoys its own personality and each shares a sense
of history coupled with the comforts of today. All guest guest
accommodations offer queen beds and modern amenities such as
phones and fax machines, Wifi High Speed Internet Access, CD
players, TVs and VCRs, wet bars and refrigerators stocked with
complimentary soft drinks, air conditioning, and private
baths. The Percy Inn also provides larger accommodations such
as studio apartments, and cottages. Equipped with kitchens
these quarters are perfect for extended stays.
Breakfast at Percy
Inn is served in the second floor breakfast room. The
Continental buffet consists of boiled eggs, a selection of hot
and cold cereals, fresh cut fruit of the day, breads and
muffins, yogurt, juices, and a choice of teas and coffee. The
breakfast room is open all day for snacking and the inn's
pantry refrigerator is stocked with complimentary soft drinks,
and juices for mixers. Seasonal drinks such as hot mulled
cider or chilled lemonade can be enjoyed most afternoons and
evenings.
The Poet's Corner on
the third floor features a choice of coffee, hot chocolate,
and regular, herbal, and decaf teas 24 hours a day in an
intimate nook with a collection of books on Maine and New
England travel, and board games. Ice is also provided here.
Besides the
breakfast room and Poet's Corner, the inn offers a fireplaced
living room with a collection of books and compact discs for
your enjoyment.
A library of 400
movie titles is kept in the armoire and guests often enjoy the
player grand piano. Landscaped side and back yards provide
spots for reading and enjoying Maine's all-too-brief good
weather. In summer A sunny 560 square foot deck invites you to
relax in the sun or shade with a cold libation. For
adventuresome guests, the inn has a garage for storing
bicycles, kayaks, canoes, or other sports equipment during
your stay. |
The West End hosts
not only Percy Inn but some of Portland's finest homes and
mansions. It is a perennial favorite of rollerbladers,
joggers, and cyclists alike and has a lively and healthy blend
of students and professionals drawn by the nearby Maine
College of Art (MECA) and Mercy Hospital and Maine Medical
Center, both within walking distance.
Percy Inn is at
Longfellow Square, the anchor to the Arts District and home to
the Center for Cultural Exchange offering a revolving calendar
of artistry of various mediums.
Portland has a
wealth of fine dining, cultural exchanges, and entertainment

If you plan a day

cooler, thermos, day pack, binoculars, picnic basket and
blanket, beach towels, or maybe some back roads maps for you
to use. Of course, all our rooms have two person umbrellas if
