The Colonial village of Fryeburg, Maine is the perfect
setting for The Oxford House Inn, which was built as a
private home in 1913 for the Fox family. They were the
first entrepreneurs in the lumber industry in the Fryeburg
area. |

The Oxford Inn has a gourmet restaurant on-site, noted as
one of the finest dining establishments in the Mount
Washington Valley. Breakfast is included in your stay. You are
offered three or four delightful gourmet choices to start your
day while you relax and take in the breathtaking mountain
scenery.

Fireside and sunset dining are enjoyed year round by guests
and the public. In the evening, you can find repose by
relaxing in The Granite Room Lounge, where you can sip on a

Their Edwardian-style home was built on part of the
foundation of The Oxford House Hotel, which burned down in
1906. In 1985, the Oxford House was converted into a New
England country inn providing bed and breakfast lodging plus a
gourmet restaurant.
The Oxford House Inn has been awarded Three Diamonds by AAA
and is "a perfect place to stay while visiting the North
Conway area," according to Yankee Books Guide to
Country Inns and B&B's. The inn has four elegantly
appointed guest rooms, each with private bath and some with
fantastic mountain views. All rooms are tastefully decorated
with comfort in mind.
