Discover The Mooring Bed and Breakfast, located on Harmon's Harbor, a beautiful and quiet spot on the ocean in Georgetown, Maine.

The original home of Walter Reid, donor of Reid State Park in Georgetown, the New England home has been renovated and remodeled by Reid's great-granddaughter and her family for your lodging comfort and enjoyment. Beautiful gardens and elegant old paintings adorn the Inn's grounds.

The Mooring offers five guestrooms, each unique in decor and all providing private baths, air conditioning, and great ocean views. A roomy casual porch catches the warm summer breezes, and you can enjoy the Spanish Room for quiet times and reading.

An ideal location for that special family reunion, party, or beautiful wedding, The Mooring Bed and Breakfast has a wonderful "Pergola" for a seaside wedding.

An inviting and hearty Maine breakfast is served daily in the sunny enclosed porch, where you can enjoy the view, or outside on the deck, where you can watch the local lobstermen making their daily catch. Later in the day, you can enjoy eating that catch of the day at one of the two local lobster wharfs close by in the quaint fishing village of Five Islands (known for "The Best Lobster on the Maine Coast").

Stroll Mile Beach or climb over the rocks down the road at Reid State Park, where you'll find miles of hiking and biking trails. A few miles away the city of Bath, is home to the Maine Maritime Museum, quaint antique stores, and a variety of shopping choices.

Brunswick is also close by, with summer theatre at the Maine State Music Theatre and the renowned Bowdoin College. Freeport, home of L.L Bean and many shopping outlets, is 45 minutes away, and Portland, with its great Old Port area, is only one hour to the south. To the north are Boothbay Harbor, Rockport, Rockland, and Camden.
