Londonderry Inn, providing outstanding lodging in a
delightful 13-room farmhouse dating back to 1803, lies on six
acres of fields, woodlands, fruit trees, and berry gardens. In
the 1950's, the inn operated as the "Sanker Farm
Overnight Tourist House" when it was still a working
farm! Technically, Londonderry Inn pre-dates Belfast's
earliest bed and breakfasts in welcoming travelers to Belfast
and Midcoast Maine. 
The five elegant guest accommodations are beautifully
decorated with antiques, newer furnishings, and many other
eye-pleasing touches. All bedrooms offer private baths,
sitting areas or desks, exquisitely comfortable mattresses,
plush pillows, air conditioning, mini-fridges, clock radio/CD
player, terry bathrobes, thick bath sheets, hair dryers, cable
television with VCR, and telephones.

An extensive library composed of magazines, books, and
200-plus videos is available for your pleasure. You can find
guests relaxing in one of the many common areas: the screened
farmer's porch, sun porch, deck, fireplaced living room,
comfortable reception room/library, or large country kitchen
with fireplace. A three-course farmer's breakfast will get you
started for the day's activities. Savor a second cup of coffee
or plan your day around the breakfast table.
In the evening, join the innkeepers and other guests for
complimentary beverages and dessert, including the Inn's
famous chocolate chip cookies. The Londonderry Inn provides

With so many things to do and see, the Inn is a great place
to enjoy any and almost all diversions. Take a schooner around
Penobscot Bay, or visit the Penobscot Marine Museum nearby.

fishing, or just nature watching a peaceful experience.
Festivals abound in the central Maine coast, including an
antique festival, lobster festival in Rockland, and a huge,
three-day Organic Farmer's Fair. Antique stores and
