Specialty Recipe

Pickled Eggs

This recipe is from Mrs. Patton's great-grandmother.

Ingredients
2 dozen medium eggs
Two 16-ounce jars of tiny whole pickled beets
1 pint red vinegar (Paramount preferred)
Lots of whole cloves (3/4 small can)
Lots of garlic salt (approximately 1 Tablespoon)
1/2 Tablespoon sugar

Start eggs to hard boil. Drain juice off both jars of beets into a large wide-mouth clear jar. Use only one jar of beets. Mix other ingredients together while eggs are cooking. When eggs are hard boiled, peel while hot. Add warm eggs to the pickle mixture. Let stand at room temperature for 3 hours. Refrigerate overnight.

Enjoy!

Judi and Paul Patton
