The Key West Harbor Inn is an elegant yet
comfortable three-story mansion on a street of ornate
Victorians in Old Town Key West.
Located at the very end of Elizabeth
Street, the bed and breakfast inn is just steps away from the
boardwalk of the Historic Key West Seaport and two blocks from
famous Duval Street.
The house was built in 1850 by a local
physician, Dr. Plummer. It stood in its original location for
nearly 100 years until it was bought by two sisters who
decided to have it moved. The home was moved all the way to
its present location and purposely placed with its side facing
Elizabeth Street so that the front of the home would face the
harbor and those beautiful Key West sunsets.
Today, the home, along with the Pool house
and the Carriage House, is completely surrounded by an
enclosed tropical garden. Guests refer to the Inn as "an
island within an island." It is the feeling you get when
you are in your own private piece of Paradise.
Old island charm surrounds you at the Key
West Harbor Inn. Four-poster beds, bamboo ceilings, thick
towels, and crisp white cotton sheets recall days of old. To
make your stay even more comfortable, all the rooms at the Inn
are equipped with cable television, air conditioning, ceiling
fans, CD players, radios, refrigerators, coffee makers,
telephones with data ports, and hair dryers for your
convenience. Lodging accommodations range from Deluxe rooms
with private baths to luxury rooms and suites with private
baths and wet bars. For those wanting to indulge in more
exquisite privacy and luxury, choose the Harborview
Suite, a huge third-floor room with wet bar,
king-sized bed, living room area, private bath and private
veranda overlooking the harbor.
Awake to a complimentary continental
breakfast offering many kinds of juices, pastries from island
bakeries, fresh fruits from the tropics, and freshly brewed
coffees of different flavors. In the afternoon, join your
hosts and fellow guests in the patio for happy hour. All
complimentary, of course! |
People come to Key West to enjoy what the "natives"
do best...water sports! Snorkeling is especially popular here
at the home of the only living reef in North America. Enjoy
deep sea fishing expeditions for trophy Black Marlins, just as
"Papa" Hemingway was so fond of doing. Sea kayaks,
jet skis, and dolphin watching eco-tours all depart right next
to the Inn. Romantic sunset cruises and sightseeing are close
at hand, as well. Mallory Square is just three blocks away and
offers a variety of activities including restaurants, museums,
shops and bars.
At Key West Harbor Inn, hosts Alexis and
Steve are there to serve you. Their friendly and thoughtful
staff stands ready to arrange for fishing, diving, or sailing
activities, make a reservation or a recommendation. So lounge
around the sun-drenched heated pool or massage those tired
muscles in the wonderful Jacuzzi. Either way, this is the
place where all your dreams will begin. |
