Bed and Breakfast

The second floor contains four guestrooms. As part of the renovation, a modern bathroom was added to each bedroom with no detraction from the colonial flavor of the home. Other modern amenities are color cable television and air conditioning.

Margaret (photo at top of page)
Pictured, with its black marble and white mahogany working fireplace, color cable television, and air conditioning. This is the only room furnished in the Victorian style. As with the Holly room, the fireplace may be used in the colder months.

Adelaide (photo letft)
Named after Mercy Adelaide, wife of Captain Grant, the room has a queen-sized bed, antique furniture, and a massive beamed ceiling. This is the favorite room of our guests. It is said to have the flavor of an English seaside cottage. "Very romantic."

Amy
The bed in this room is crafted in the exact same style as the one in the Elizabeth room. Here, the bed is high, similar to beds in the 1700's, and has a small stair used to climb onto the bed. A 19th-century sink stands outside the modern bathroom. The Amy room is exceptionally bright and sunny.

Marie (photo right)
The Marie Room is a first-floor room with a massive beamed ceiling and a true Colonial feel. The bathroom is our largest. The bed in this room is a full, and although the room is a bit smaller than our other rooms, it has all of the same amenities as our larger rooms: sherry, color cable TV, and access to dessert all day and to our guest fridge, which has wine, beer, and soda at no charge.

Collette
This room has a queen-sized and a twin bed plus a futon mattress, accommodating a maximum of four people (no more than three adults, please). A massive beam crosses the ceiling, snow shoes hang on the wall, and Chester the bear sits on the bed next to Miss Rabbit.

Holly
This room has a queen-sized bed and a whirlpool bath, color cable television, and air conditioning. The wood-burning fireplace is authentic to the 18th century. Logs and fires are provided by your hosts to create the ultimate romantic experience -- a glass of wine, a roaring fire, and "thou."
