Boulder sits in a basin surrounded
by the beautiful Rocky Mountains. The open spaces in Boulder are
spectacular and extensive. This makes Boulder the perfect place
for scenic biking, hiking, white water rafting, skiing in winter,
sailing in the summer, rock climbing and rollerblading.
Most of the trails are a short
drive from the city. World-class rock climbing is found in nearby
Eldorado Canyon, near the small town of Eldorado Springs,
Colorado, six miles south of Boulder. Eldorado Canyon is a wonder
of natural beauty, but it is most famous for its hundreds of world
famous rock climbing routes.
Local area attractions include
Boulder Mountain Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, Boulder
Reservoir, Chautauqua Park, Boulder History Museum, Boulder Museum
of Contemporary Art, University of Colorado Museum, and Leanin'
Tree Museum of Western Art.
