The Briar Rose Bed and Breakfast is a little jewel tucked
away in the heart of Boulder Colorado that offers
peacefulness, privacy and healthful, earth-friendly
accommodations.
As the only member of the Green Hotel Association in Boulder
county, the Briar Rose offers organic, vegetarian breakfasts,
fresh produce bought from the Boulder Co-Op Market, and
accommodations cleaned with environmentally friendly cleaning
products. The Inn is an oasis of tranquility with lush gardens
and winding brick paths that offer a private retreat for busy
travelers.
A wood-burning fireplace in the living room provide a warm
invitation for guests to read, meet with friends or enjoy
organic tea and fresh-baked shortbread cookies. Guests and
staff may sit in our humble meditation room and listen to the
small waterfall in the garden below. There are ten beautiful
accommodations, six in the main house and four in the Carriage
House, with unique features such as rain showers, garden
entrances, a chaise lounge, a large well-lit table for
workspace or a queen bed tucked into a cozy alcove. All rooms
feature high-speed Internet access (or low-speed via dial-up),
air conditioning, and free local calls.
In the morning enjoy a complete organic breakfast that
includes a fresh fruit cup, freshly baked sweet breads, yogurt
with raspberries, an egg dish with toast, fresh orange juice
and delicious homemade granola. Weather permitting, breakfast
is served on the sun porch. Otherwise it is served in the
dining room or in the privacy of your room with prior
arrangements. A large assortment of herbal and loose-leaf
green and black teas are available throughout the day as a tea
tray with homemade shortbread cookies.
Boulder Colorado sits in a basin surrounded by the beautiful
Rocky Mountains. This type of landscape makes Boulder the
perfect place for scenic biking, hiking, white water rafting,
skiing in winter, sailing in the summer, rock climbing and
rollerblading. It is also the home of the University of
Colorado and Naropa University, both within walking distance
of the Briar Rose Inn. Something the Boulder residents love to
do is to go tubing (ride an innertube) at Eben G. Fine Park.
Your hosts will be happy to tell you how to get there.
For graduation, for that special occasion or for that deep
rest and relaxation you've been promising yourself, discover

The Briar Rose is run by Zen monks and Gary Hardin. It
is our intention to bring mindfulness and compassion to our
care for the guests and the inn. Above all, our hallmark is to
offer a feeling of "home" in the heart of Boulder.
The inn's gardens offer a private retreat for
personal reflection, a warm conversation or simply enjoying
the many different plants, flowers, trees and shrubs.
We belong to two state bed and breakfast associations, the
Distinctive Inns of Colorado, and the Bed and Breakfast
Innkeepers of Colorado. Both feature high-quality inns. We are
inspected by AAA and are members of the Green Hotel
Association, Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association, and the
Professional Association of Innkeepers International.
The Briar Rose was named the "Exceptional Zero Waste
Partner for 2004" by Eco-Cycle in the category of "Going
Beyond Recycling with 100% Collection". |
