Zosa Gardens Bed and Breakfast Inn, a secluded Spanish
hacienda, sits on 22 beautifully landscaped acres on a high
plateau in the mountains of Southern California's wine
country.
As you approach Temecula's tropical retreat, your first
impression may be of the fragrant perfumes created by the
fusion of flora with a Pacific-blown breeze. Almost everywhere
you look, Zosa's lush landscape seems to pulse with waves of
guavas and bougainvillea and a multitude of colorful flowers
whose roots share the soil of exotic trees bearing citrus
fruit and lots of plump avocados.
Just inside the gates, there's an elegant gazebo and
fountain where love birds flock to exchange vows. As you
progress to Zosa's organic gardens, you'll see an arched
bridge next to a waterfall whose soothing trickle comes to
rest in a little pond containing velvet lilies and
sun-catching Koi fish.
The beauty of Zosa's landscape is matched only by the
simple elegance of its lodging accommodations. The
southwest-styled hacienda offers nine guest rooms, each with
private bath. Several also include fireplaces, and they all
come with breath-taking views of the surrounding scenery.
There's also a guest house with two rooms and two suites, each
with a private bath and kitchenette. For added privacy, a
two-bedroom cottage is also available for rent. Both the guest
house and the cottage are located in a secluded clearing
surrounded by avocado trees.
The cottage will remind you of the quintessential American
Dream with its white shutters, white picket fence, and neatly
arranged flower boxes and arbors. It comes with a fully
equipped kitchen, telephone, TV/VCR combo in the living room,
and an ivy-decorated bathroom with tub and shower. Best of
all, the cottage has its own four-person Jacuzzi and gazebo.

Zosa Gardens also provides several places where guests can
mingle. There's a tennis court, swimming pool, spa, and
common-area Jacuzzi all on site. In the main house, there's a
quiet living room, a parlor with grand piano, and game room
with billiards and card tables. The pool area is perfect for
wedding receptions, and if you would like, Zosa Gardens will
host the whole bridal party (from rehearsal dinner to "I
Do").
In fact, you may even want mom and dad and the in-laws to
stay over for Zosa's wonderful gourmet breakfast of
fresh-squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit from the orchards,
Eggs Benedict, and whatever special requests you may have.
Have special dietary needs? Don't worry. The Zosa staff can
handle that as well. As a salute to Southern California's wine
country, your hosts provide the wine, cheese, and hors
d'oeuvres at no extra charge.
Of course, you'll also want to sample some of the fine work
of the region's 15 independent wine makers, and if you're into
complementing your wine with a little food, you'll will have
many choices of restaurants in Old Town Temecula and Old Town
Escondido. |
