Secluded on one and a half acres of
manicured lawns and flowering gardens, the Stahlecker House
Bed and Breakfast Country Inn is a nostalgic gem in Napa
Valley.
A serene setting of shady trees and a
trickling creek creates the perfect ambiance for relaxing
stay. Located only minutes from the beginning of a series of
wineries, the Inn is perfectly situated for easy access to the
renowned wine growing region of Napa Valley.
The Stahlecker House was built in the late
1940's on the grounds of an existing apple orchard. The first
building constructed was a family run bakery noted for their
fine birthday, wedding, and fruit cakes. The home was
constructed for the baker and his family. A three-story
barn/workshop was later built on the property.
Today, Stahlecker House Bed and Breakfast
is a beautifully decorated Inn of vintage race car driver and
pilot Ron and his local artist and wife Ethel Stahlecker.
Guests adore the romantic and airy guest rooms. All rooms have
private baths, televisions, air conditioning, fireplaces,
phone jacks for lap tops and queen canopy beds. The deluxe
room includes a couple spa. Fresh flowers brighten every room,
and special touches such as Teddy bears on the beds and
colorful comforters can be found.
At night, a turn down service prepares your
bed for a pleasant night's rest. A coffee and tea service
commences each day in the evening. Guests are encouraged to
walk the lovely gardens and grounds, sip fresh made lemonade
on the sun deck or unwind in front of two working fireplaces
in the "gathering fireside room" on a cool night.
Homemade cookies and brownies satisfy any guest's sweet tooth.
Tucked away in the 1929 antique ice box are iced tea, soft
drinks and a bowl of crisp fruits for guests to enjoy at
anytime. A charming antique piano waits patiently for guests
to entertain with tune.
In the mornings, breakfast by candle light.
Your hosts prepare a scrumptious full gourmet breakfast to
tantalize the taste buds. Have your coffee out on the patio or
in the sun room. A collection of a variety of over eighty
roses and annuals provide an abundance of colorful fresh
flowers which are admired on the outside and enjoyed in
original arrangements inside the home. |
After breakfast, go for a morning hot air
balloon ride, or play a game of yard croquet with fellow
travelers. In the evening, gather for a board game or puzzle.
Spend the afternoon on the Napa Wine Train, sampling wines
from various vineyards.
Treat yourself to a day at the spa with a
massage, mud bath or mineral soak. Make a reservation at any
of the many fine restaurants for memorable dinner. Antique
shops and boutiques delight discerning shoppers. Go for a bike
ride in the delightful California sun or visit the Candle
factory.
Your hosts invite you leave behind the busy
city noises and unwind to the quiet country sounds of the
crickets and the birds.
While staying at the Inn, your hosts want
you to be comfortable, relaxed and content, so if they can
assist you in anyway please don't hesitate to ask and they
will do everything in their knowledge to make your stay a
special one. |
