- The Bay Area's number-one
ranked course, Half Moon Bay Golf
Links, designed by Arnold Palmer, affords great views
out to Miramontes Point.
- For horseback riding along
the beach, visit Sea Horse Ranch,
a local landmark.
- Stroll Historic
Main Street and visit the boutiques, restaurants,
bakeries, and cafes.
- Visit the local
Flower Market at Main and
Kelly every third Saturday (May through September).
- Pick your own berries at
Coastways Ranch.
- Enjoy the
Tours des Fleurs in July and
visit local nurseries with guided tours.
- Discover the Pescadero
tradition of Phipp's Ranch,
featuring over 100 varieties of legumes, organic veggies,
plants, herbs, and farm animals. A fun activity for the
whole family.
- Fitzgerald
Marine Reserve, accessed from Moss Beach, is a great
place for tide pool exploring and whale watching.
- Pillar
Point Marsh, fed by fresh and salt water, attracts a
noteworthy collection of birds. Bring your binoculars!

- Landis
Shores is located in the 6-mile Coast
Side Trail, which extends into Half Moon Bay. Hike,
walk, or bike along the dramatic bluffs.
- Take the
Montara Mountain Trail for an
inland-to-coastline walk.
- Another beautiful hike is the
Purisima Creek Trail, which
leads to the majestic redwood groves and year-'round creek
of the Purisima Redwood Preserve.
- Watch the migration of the
California Gray Whale from
December to April as they make their journey to the Baja
