Located in the heart of Southern Arizona's Apache country,
Grapevine Canyon Ranch is a guest and working cattle ranch
with an emphasis on horseback riding, horsemanship, and
vacation western style.
Grapevine has been welcoming guests year-round for nearly 20
years and has developed a philosophy of providing personal
attention. Guests are welcomed as part of the ranch family,
and feelings of safety, comfort, and timelessness are
nurtured. Ranch buildings, nestled among plentiful groves of
Arizona oak, manzanita, and mesquite, are almost invisible in
the wooded canyon, where wild grapevines give the ranch its
name.
Your experience at Grapevine Canyon Ranch can best be summed
up as "rugged outside, but
pampered inside" -- meaning that while the
grounds and lodge buildings reflect the feeling and air of the
Old West, the lodging accommodations are first class, with
many amenities found only in excellent hotels. Casitas
(suites) and cabins are cozily appointed and fresh --
virtually sparkling in appearance. Grapevine's housekeeping
staff prides itself on cleanliness, winning the daily battle
to keep the desert sand outside.
The meals at Grapevine Canyon Ranch, served in the main
dining room, are exactly as Grandma would have cooked them --
tasty, plentiful, and real, with everything homemade. The
kitchen staff is excellent, with years of experience and a
culinary degree among them to their credit. Breakfast is
cooked to order, while lunch and dinner are served
buffet-style. Helpings are generous, and seconds and thirds
are encouraged. Guests and staff dine together, furthering the
Grapevine philosophy of personal attention that guests come
back for time and time again.
At an elevation of 5,000 feet, you'll enjoy pleasant summer
temperatures and low humidity. The valley, canyons, and
mountains surrounding Grapevine Canyon Ranch are rich in
history -- Cochise, Geronimo, outlaws, the calvary, early
settlers -- and the staff is well versed in local culture and
color. There are beautiful trails to hike, old Indian village
sites and ghost towns to explore, many species of birds to
watch, and plenty of sightseeing, with Tombstone, Bisbee, and
Old Mexico nearby.
After a day of riding or sightseeing, relax in the swimming
pool and hot tub or enjoy a game of darts or horseshoes. The
Buffalo Room is the place for an evening of games and
entertainment, with card, pool, and ping-pong tables at hand.
The Buffalo Room adjoins the Video Room, where you will find a
large-screen television, video player, and extensive film
library. Lucky to have a "singing" cowboy, the ranch
invites guests to enjoy live country music and dancing each
week.
Come retreat from city life at Grapevine Canyon Ranch...how
the west was once, and still is. |
