Nothing about Waterfall is ordinary. Your vacation adventure
begins with a breathtaking flight aboard a float plane from
Ketchikan, Alaska. This unforgettable journey takes you over
the unspoiled Tongass National Forest, straight towards the
richest fishing grounds in North America.
|
Before you know it, the plane banks and turns; there in
front of you is Waterfall Resort, a luxury fishing and
wildlife adventure lodge ideal for your family, friends,
or a corporate outing. |

The neatly painted white buildings are the very same that
housed the rugged crews that worked at Waterfall Cannery from
1912 to 1978. Now beautifully restored, they provide a wealth
of fine lodging accommodations. Everything here is designed
for your comfort. Instantly you start to relax. It's time to
go fishing!
Wilderness Luxury... After an exciting day of
fishing, it feels good to be back at the resort. Everyone
looks forward to weighing in the catch and sharing stories
about the day's adventure. You did your part; now the
Waterfall crew handles the rest. Your catch will be cleaned,
frozen, and boxed for your journey home.
Somehow the long, lazy Alaskan summer days never seem long
enough to enjoy all that Waterfall has to offer. Time not
spent fishing can be used for strolling the boardwalk through
the unspoiled wilderness, exploring the old cannery buildings,
or socializing with other guests in the lounge.
Something about being surrounded by the wonders
of nature and battling big fish inspires one's appetite.
Therefore, meals at Waterfall are always a special highlight.
You'll enjoy hearty breakfasts, lunches, and dinners while
savoring the spectacular views from the comfortable dining
room.
Accommodations at Waterfall range from quaint
two-person Cape Cod-style cottages with private baths to
luxurious waterfront town-house suites ideal for a family of
four. The beachfront suites offer ultimate comfort, where each
unit commands an excellent view of beautiful Ulloa Channel and
distant mountains. Suites feature living rooms with
woodburning fireplaces, complete kitchen and dining area, and
a utility room with washer/dryer. There are two spacious
bedrooms and 1.5 baths. The master bath features a relaxing
spa tub ideal for soothing tired muscles.
New for 2008 are the double occupancy ocean front "Egg
House" suites. Four newly built suites offer grand
accommodations, a sitting area with a deck, and expansive
views of the Ulloa Channel. |

Rich fishing grounds. You don't have to be a
fishing expert to love the fishing at Waterfall Resort. The
whole family will enjoy the fresh air, spectacular scenery,
and the thrill of landing the
biggest
fish they have ever seen. In fact, the abundance of fish
in these waters made the original Waterfall Cannery the most
productive in the region. Today fishing for King Salmon, Coho,
Halibut, Ling Cod, and Red Snapper is still second to none.
Waterfall offers the largest private fleet of Almar cabin
cruisers in the state, all equipped with Volvo Penta diesel
engines and the latest Furuno marine electronics. Stepping
aboard your assigned boat, you'll be greeted by your personal
guide. After a short, scenic ride, you reach the ideal fishing
spot. The guide baits your hook, and in no time the calm is
broken by excited shouts of "fish on!" The thrill of
the catch is exhilarating and heightened even more by knowing
you have entered Waterfall's King of Kings Salmon Tournament.
With each cast of the line, you could be the one to take home
a big prize.
Relaxation comes easily at Waterfall and memories last a
lifetime. It's a taste of adventure that will keep you coming
back year after year. |
