Specialty Recipe

Hearty Ham and Corn Soup

Ingredients
One 15-ounce can cream-style corn
1 cup milk (soy or regular)
1 cup cubed ham (1/2-inch pieces)
1/2 teaspoon each sweet basil, cilantro, and steak seasoning
1 teaspoon regular curry powder or 3/4 teaspoon hot curry powder
1 very mild Ortega chili (roasted type from a small can)
Dash each of dried onions, garlic salt, seasoned salt, and 5-spice

This is a very quick and easy recipe. Makes a good lunch or dinner soup. Great served with Pearson's Pond Ham Bread.

Put all ingredients in saucepan and heat thoroughly over medium heat. Serve in bowls; garnish with lime wedge. Good with ham bread.

Substitutions: Use soy milk for lactose intolerant folks. Works just fine with low or non-fat milks.

Serves: 2 to 3 generously. Preparation Time: 5 minutes. Cooking Time: 5 minutes.
