Inside, the marble foyer leads you into the living room with a unique vaulted ceiling, sunlit by tall bay windows and overhead dormers. Upstairs the sitting gallery overlooking the living room offers a peaceful place to bask in the streaming sunlight, enjoy the view and read a good book.

Lodging accommodations at the inn include two guest suites, each graciously decorated with a romantic fireplace, queen bed and boasting spectacular views. One suite has a balcony and the other suite has a sun deck and Jacuzzi tub.

Start your day with a bounteous breakfast in the sunny gazebo-style breakfast nook. Entrees may include mountain fresh blueberry hotcakes, or Cindy's signature dish, North Country Glacier Warmer, which is a baked casserole featuring artichoke hearts, Parmesan cheese and mild chilis with a touch of jalapeño chilies for the Heat! Special meals such as low fat, diabetic and vegetarian can be accommodated with prior arrangements.

Alaska's North Country Castle is less than 15 miles from downtown Anchorage and the airport. The Anchorage area offers an abundance of activities, cultural events, and sight-seeing opportunities.
